Saint-Ouen Flea Market
At the northern end of Métro line 4 lies the world's largest antiques market — seven hectares across 14 sub-markets, a treasure trove of everything from 19th-c. antique furniture to 1920s vintage and art. Even a small find becomes a lifelong souvenir.
History
It began in the 1870s when rag-pickers pushed outside the Paris fortifications gathered here, and was officially born in 1885 when Saint-Ouen paved and cleaned up the area — about 150 years of history. With 14 sub-markets and ~1,700 vendors (1,400 antiques specialists), it draws 120,000–180,000 visitors each weekend and 5 million+ a year — France's 4th most-visited site.
Getting there
Take Métro line 4 to its terminus, Porte de Clignancourt, then walk. Open Saturday, Sunday and Monday only.
