Paris
Seine dinner cruise
Run by Bateaux Mouches and others, the Seine dinner cruise serves a three-course meal on board as you take in Paris's night views from the river. It captures the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and the Louvre at once, without walking — a favorite for honeymoons and anniversaries.
History
Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches was founded in 1949 by Jean Bruel, who bought a steamboat from the 1900 World's Fair and launched the world's first tourist river cruises on the Seine. Over 70 years, 150 million+ people have ridden; the fleet now numbers 12 boats.
Getting there
Board at the Pont de l'Alma pier. The route passes the Eiffel Tower, Musée d'Orsay and Notre-Dame, turning around near the Institut du Monde Arabe. Dinner cruises require advance booking.
