With some 1,500 shops and restaurants and a riverside Ferris wheel (Asiatique Sky), its popular with families and couples alike. Its Bangkoks signature night market for enjoying the evening in the river breeze.

This area was an old port used as a hub of East Asian trade in 1907, during the reign of Rama V. Asiatique, the complex that opened in 2012, was created by preserving those warehouse buildings and wharves — reviving the atmosphere of the old trading port as a modern commercial space.
