Chatuchak Weekend Market
One of the worlds largest markets, open on weekends. About 15,000 stalls spread across 27 sections sell everything — clothing, vintage, handicrafts, antiques and food. Its big enough to get lost in, and ranks as Bangkoks top spot for shopping and souvenirs.
History
A street market that began under a 1940s government policy moved through several sites before settling beside todays Chatuchak Park in 1982. It has since grown into Southeast Asias largest, drawing hundreds of thousands on weekends. It is divided by section — clothing (Sections 2–6), antiques, pets, plants, food and more.
